The annual "Latino Marketplace" was designed as a one-stop-shop event. It attracts meeting planners from the DC area to meet, network and discuss business opportunities with hotel companies, CVBs and other meeting suppliers and vendors. It is unique in that it serves as a tradeshow and a networking reception meant to create a casual and festive atmosphere.

2010 marked the third year for the Latino Marketplace held at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill. The event started with an educational session titled "Making Tradeshows Work for You" conducted by Allison Wachter, CEM Associate Director, Exhibitions & Registrations at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership. The session provided helpful tips and tools to navigate through an industry tradeshow and manage time effectively with new technology and applications. To view the Powerpoint presentation click here.

Upon registration, meeting planners were given a "Passport" to use when visiting each exhibitor and were entered to win one of the many raffle prizes including a complimentary trip for two to Miami thanks to our friends at the Greater Miami CVB.
