The Network of Latino Meeting Professionals () is very excited to announce the first all Latino network listserv for Latino meeting professionals in the U.S. and Puerto Rico! Over the past few months, The Network of Latino Meeting Professionals has committed to increasing the services to the Latino meeting community. We would like to welcome you to join Listserv - NMLPonlineworks@googlegroups.com - which purpose is to create a nurturing environment for all Latino meeting professionals fostering the exchange of ideas through networking opportunities.

Listserv Guidelines

The following guidelines are to assist in keeping Listserv running smoothly and effectively, keeping superfluous email traffic to a minimum. This will be sent to the listserv quarterly as a reminder for proper listserv use.

Please review the following guidelines carefully:

  1. In an effort to stop the spread of viruses through Listserv, settings have been set to not allow attachments to be sent through the listserv. If you need to send or receive email attachments, please request it to be directly sent to your individual address.
  2. Be sure to keep your virus software up to date. If your email address sends a message with a virus to the listserv, your email address will be temporarily disabled from sending messages to or replying to messages from the listserv, until you notify that your computer is free of viruses.
  3. If you are going to be away and will enable an automated response, please notify so your email can be temporarily disabled from replying to listserv messages. This way, unnecessary messages in everyone's email boxes can be avoided.
  4. Do NOT reply directly to a message received from the listserv UNLESS your response is meant for, and useful to, the entire listserv.
  5. Do post items of interest to the meeting and convention community. Sales messages or marketing messages about services, products etc ARE NOT ALLOWED. The listserve managers have the right to unsubscribe any user that uses this listserve as a selling tool.
  6. Do include your name, organization/company, address, email, web page, etc. at the end of your message.
  7. Do post the reply privately if it's not relevant to the entire list. This means creating a new message to the individual to whom you are responding rather than just hitting "reply" or "reply all."
  8. Do share your knowledge, resources and opinion.
  9. Do use relevant Subject lines. If the topic changes, change the Subject line.
  10. Limit the use of attachments, formatting, colors, images, and HTML encoding for the following reasons:
    • keeps message size smaller
    • allows all subscribers to read the message
    • helps reduce the incidence of viruses.
