Title: Administrative Meeting Assistant
Location: Washington, DC
Position Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to the Event Management team; sorts incoming mail; drafts and/or edits letters for signatures; writes clients, vendors and suppliers letters; manages all phone and email requests from clients, vendors, and suppliers; manages the day to day office operations; participate in the development of operating procedures for the Mance's events, produce specification sheets and distribute to vendors and suppliers, send out all RFPs and maintain all Meetings department files, and perform others duties as required. This is an ideal opportunity for the right person to enter the Event Planning industry.
Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to type 65 wpm.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Must be well-organized; detail-oriented, highly motivated; dependable and exhibit good judgment.
- Knowledge of and experience with databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of meeting/event planning, a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, internally, externally, and at all levels.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to prioritize and follow through with details.
- Must be available to travel
- Must be team player
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Two or more years of administrative support background preferred.
- Meeting planning experience preferred.
- Spanish speaking a plus!
