November 18	hosted it's 25th session "Tips to Spice up Your Next Event" luncheon at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and sponsored by Puerto Rico CVB. Planner were exposed to the latest industry trends with regards to managing an unique and elegant affair.
October 22	First ever Marketplace & Networking event held at the Washington Marriott hotel. annual member survey was conducted for the 2009 calendar year.
September 24	24th Session Sponsored by Tampa Bay. This Leadership Development program, facilitated by Marisa Rivera-Albert, gave meeting planners useful tools for taking their leadership skills to the "Next Level".
August 2	Want to take the CMP Winter exam session? Prepared planners with filing out the CMP application and answered questions about the exam.
July 23	first ever Zumba Class. With movements from various dance styles from the Latino Diaspora, planners danced the night away while enjoying a fun and unique style of fitness.

December	Website for was developed. Databases from founding CVBs were compiled to create main database. Anita Nunez, Hilton Corporation joined Board of Directors.
November, 10	founders, Jeannette Gonzalez, Agora Occasions; Laurie Nelson-Choice, Visit Milwaukee and Trudy Singh, NYC & Company, met with Latino meeting planners in a Focus Group to get ideas on how to create and organization that would benefit the industry.
October	The Network of Latino Meeting Professionals () was discussed as an idea to support Latino professionals in the hospitality industry. Logo and Vision were created.
