Description of Committee Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Committee Chair:
    The Committee Chair is responsible for providing leadership and direction to committee members while recruiting new members. The Chair will provide monthly activity reports to the Board and manage the committee's budget & will be responsible for organizing and promoting committee activities and events along with the committee members. The Chair will establish a mission for the committee that is aligned with the mission of .

  • Committee Member:
    A committee member is responsible for attending committee meetings while contributing skills & talent to the committee. Committee members are responsible for assisting the Committee Chair in organizing and promoting committee activities and events. Committee members are also responsible for recruiting new members.

    MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

    • Work with the Board to provide input in the development and management of the Network E-newsletter, Voz á Voz, by editing & creating content and design development
    • Offer suggestions regarding The Network website content
    • Evaluate and offer recommendations for methods of communication with Network members
    • Draft press releases for newsworthy Network milestones
    • Assist the Board in promoting events via phone calls and emails
    SPONSORSHIPS
    • Work with the Board Liaison for Sponsorships to identify potential sponsors for future partnership and development. Update the Network's Strategic Partner benefits and Sponsorship benefits.
    • Solicit by phone/e-mail potential prospects for sponsorships.
    MEMBER CARE AND SERVICES
    • Evaluate and suggest member benefits and ways to increase membership satisfaction, retention and overall member strategy
    • Work with the Board of Directors in suggesting educational programs and assisting with their implementation
    • Facilitate networking opportunities for the members in order to ensure a positive and productive experience by serving as new member "buddies", mentors and greeters at monthly event
    • Work with the Board of Directors in the development of member surveys and evaluations
